The event organisers have been in touch with the following information:
"Reading & Leeds will no longer be taking place this year. We’ve been closely monitoring this unprecedented situation and we were hopeful we could deliver the ultimate festival to you in August, something to look forward to in these strange and confusing times. However, it has become clear that it’s just not possible for this year’s festival to go ahead.
We want to extend our gratitude to our teams, artists and partners who work so hard each year. And to our fans, we’re nothing without you – we thank you for your continued support and understanding.
We’re already counting down the days to when we’re back in the fields we call home for the August Bank holiday weekend. We promise you that Reading & Leeds 2021 will be worth the wait.
Finally, we encourage everyone to continue supporting our emergency services, who provide invaluable support and assistance at all our events and we again express our gratitude, admiration and thanks for their dedication and professionalism which is proving so vital at this time.

So what happens now?
Customers who booked for Reading Festival 2020 or Leeds Festival 2020 will receive an email offering to carry their booking over to the 2021 counterpart or to opt for a refund. Please let us know if you would like us to exchange your booking to 2021 or receive a full refund via the link in your email before 17:00 on 26 May 2020. Please keep in mind you should only use this link once and it should not be passed on to others.
If you have more than one booking, you will receive an email for each one. Please use the links on all emails if you’d like to request an exchange/refund for all of your bookings. If you choose to exchange and have a day ticket, you will be changed to the same day in 2021. We aren't unfortunately able to switch you to another day. Please note the line-up in 2021 will be different to 2020.
If you booked tickets on a Payment Plan and would like to exchange, your payments will be paused. We'll contact you closer to the event date with more details.
If we don't hear from you by 26 May 2020, we will automatically refund your booking. We will start processing refunds within 7 days after 26 May 2020. The latest you can expect to receive your refund will be 26 June 2020.
